We, as a team, decided that the research question is: How the lack of housing affects Mexico? we chose this one because we want to explain the problems for example the impact in the economy and the life style that this represents. At the same time, we want to see how the citizens and the government had have take action and evaluate the organizations and institutions that do something about it.

In this picture it's compared the income of the different countries in the world. Of course the ones that are in red are more likely to be "first world" and in consequence these kind of countries have less opportunities and a worse life conditions. We can see that Mexico is not in the worse situation, there are countries that have position lower that our country but still, our situation is to be worry about.

This picture is a great example of how some people live, as you can see these are old people, and those are unacceptableliving conditions for anyone and even more for old people. Unfortunately, this is a reality because people +50 years old are the ones that more often we see in the streets. What can we do for a change?

I recommend the article " Housing, Health, and Happiness" because it talks about our objective, and how a real change in this situation can affect in different manners the lifestyle of the Mexican citizens.  As Cattaneo (2009) mention " We investigate the impact of a large-scale Mexican program to replace dirt  floors with cement floors on child health and adult happiness...  we find signficant improvements in adult welfare measured by increased satisfaction with their housing and quality of life"  The article provides the example of data that these researchers used and how they converted it into  information  and eventually into knowledge.
